Its easiest if you have a graphing package - either a graphing calculator or something like Excel.
Plot the data.
Notice that it looks linear - so you can perfrom a linear regression.
This gives you the equation
F = -0.008 W +54.7
with an r value of -0.94 - ie the equation is pretty good at fitting the data.
You then plug 3000 into the equation for W and you get the fuel consumption 30.8 mi/gal
