Can anyone I should divide or multiple?

I have a two part question for chemistrey and I am lost. 1. The item mass of an irregularly shaped item whose density is 2.50 g/ml and whose volume is 100.30ml. Am I dividing the two or multiplying? 2. Epress the density as micrograms/meter3. Please help!

    If you want mass, multiply and the mL cancels out leaving grams.

    A microgram is a millionth of a gram so you must multiply by 1 million for that part. A cubic meter is 100 x 100 x 100 or 1 million cubic cm and a cubic cm = a mL so now you'd have to multiply by 1 million again.

    Written out it looks like

    2.50 g/mL x 1000000mL/meter3 x 1000000 mcg/g

    and the g and mL cancel leaving what you want
