water pump for 93 cadillac!?
i need to replace my water pump in a 93 cadillac seville. i took just about everything out except the pump itself, for i dont know how to take it out. it seems like i need some type of breaker bar and twist to unscrew but im not sure? can anyone help.

There is a special tool needed to remove the water pump. You can get it from a GM dealership or off a tool truck like Snap On or Mac Tools, good luck.

The problem that you are having is probably the fact that star or allen keys are used. They are short rounded bolts that are sometimes hard to deal with. Or the fact that there may be a 13 millimiter 1-inch tall bolt to deal with. One should always when possible always try to pressure wash the engine first.

hey you have to tell people what kind of motor size if its the v8 read directions in box there are some screws that need to stay in or it can tern into a bigger job and there are some screws that are hard to see and you could of mist the one that needs to come out but if your bolts are all out yes you need some sort of screw driver or prier bar to separate the gasket from the block sorry if i didn't cover the bases but i need more info

Best bet is to get a manual at your local, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, Pep Boys etc, it will have step by step instructions. about 14 bucks

Yep, get a chilton manual. I have done several waterpumps they all have one thing in common, they are all a pain in the ***!
