I know all about this being from Atlanta and yes, it was soo harsh the punishments against him and it just shows that racism is still alive today no matter what ignorant, rose-colored-glasses-wearing people say.

I feel that they did stick it to him a little harsh. I also think alot of it had to do with the girl actually fabricating some of the events that happened. Who really knows how many teens hav consensual sex? Another piece of the puzzle has to do with the fact that the girl was white and when someone found out she had to cover her tracks especially by being in the south.
