Help - Need popular songs written about children, dedicated to a child, about parenting, childbirth, etc.?

I am planning a "name that tune" game for a baby shower and would like to use popular music that was written for a child, about a child, raising a child, being a parent, etc. Some I have already considered: Jessica, Do They Know It's Christmas, When I Grow Up, Hey Jude, Lucy In The Sky, God Bless The Child, Ooh Child, Teach Your Children, Cats in the Cradle, Beautiful Boy, St. Judy's Comet, Obvious Child, Isn't She Lovely, Original Of The Species, Lullabye. I would like to keep the songs "positive" vs. songs like Janie's Got a Gun, Enter Sandman, Daughter, Jeremy, Another Brick, etc. that deal with abuse, suicide, drugs. In addition to popular rock songs, I would like to include popular Country, Big Band and American Standards. While I don't expect guests to know every song, I don't want too many "deep cuts" that nobody will recognize. I also don't want to have to use Nursery Rhymes or Children's Songs. It would be nice to have the songs available on iTunes. Thanks!

There was a song out in the mid-70s, one version by Melba Montgomery in country and the other by Shirley Caesar in R&B/pop, called "No Charge." The subject dealt with a child writing out a bill for his chores, to which the mother replied, "for the nine months I carried you growing inside me, no charge," etc. It's very hokey (and that's being kind), but it may serve your purpose.

More recently, Don Henley's song "Bringing You Home" on his "Inside Job" album is about the birth of his daughter. Warren Zevon's "Tenderness on the Block" from 1978's "Excitable Boy" is about his daughter (Ariel, who is now an actress). "The Only Child," from Jackson Browne's album "The Pretender," is about his son, Ethan.

In a slightly less popular mode, singer/songwriter John Hiatt (best-known for writing Bonnie Raitt's "Thing Called Love" and Jeff Healy's "Angel Eyes") has done a number of songs about his children: "Georgia Rae" and "Child of the Wild Blue Yonder" are about his youngest daughter; "Circle Back" is about taking his oldest daughter to college, and "Your Dad Did" is a rather humorous look at parenting ("All hands fold as the 3-year-old says grace, she says, 'help the starving children to get well, but may my brother's hamster burn in hell'").

In country music, I would recommend "Country Bumpkin" by Cal Smith, "Guess Who's Gonna Be a Daddy" by Razzy Bailey, "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn, and "Daddy, What If" by Bobby Bare and Bobby Bare, Jr. (when the latter was 5 years old). Of these, the Razzy Baily song might not be available, because honestly, I may be the only person who even remembers that song!

    Good luck.

Although "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses was written about a girlfriend, the lyrics can be interpreted in a different way.
