Cut out the mayo, the grapes (Why would you feed a carnivore grapes? They don't feed lions and wolves grapes at the zoo, I assure you), the flour, the chicken broth, and the chocolate. That leaves you with chicken breast. But don't cube it, dogs have teeth perfectly designed for chewing their food and don't need your help. But chicken breast isn't a balanced diet so add in some heart, liver, gizzards, kidney, green tripe and the like. Add a little salmon oil for Omega 3 and 6 and tada. You'll be feeding your dog the healthiest homemade diet possible, a raw (aka uncooked because, dogs don't have thumbs, start fires, nor do they cook, nor are they evolved (as we are) to eat cooked meat) prey modeled diet!!!

DOG LIVER CAKE
1 cup water
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/3 cup garlic powder
1 pound of liver, cut up
Put liver in a blender to pulverize. Add just enough water to mix with liver. Gradually add flour, cornmeal, and garlic powder until mixed. It will be thick, about the consistency of a cake mixture.
Spray 2 disposable pie tins with Pam non-stick cooking spray and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. It is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool and cut into bite size pieces.
This recipe is for those who love their dogs and you will really have to love your dog to put up with the garlic smell that will permeate your house as this cooks. Don't be surprised if the neighborhood dogs line up at your kitchen door..

When making homemade dog food, keep in mind that most breeds need a diet that contains of 40 percent meat; 30 percent vegetables and 30 percent starch. Follow this formula and your dog may be eating a more well-balanced diet than you!
Canned dog foods generally have more fillers than homemade varieties, so most dogs transition well. Since dogs use their sense of smell most to determine what they will and will not eat, fresh home made dog foods are often preferred by most pets compared to their manufactured counterparts. There are a few important things to remember though, when making your pet's food:
It may take a few tries to find the recipe your pet enjoys most. Finicky eaters especially may require a little kitchen experimenting to find the best mix.
Use ground turkey instead of ground beef when possible - it's leaner and healthier
Liver, kidneys and eggs are excellent nutritional sources for dogs
Start with a basic mix of ground turkey, rice and carrots. Most dogs love it!
Offer your dog a variety of foods to ensure they are getting all of the nutrients they need
Consider crushing a dog vitamin in their food
Eggshells have a lot of vitamins in them. Finely crush one in your dog's food when available.
Most pet owners switch their dogs to home made dog food in an attempt to give them a safer, more nutritional food supply. But, there are some dangers to doing it yourself. Here are some things to watch out for when preparing your dog's next meal:
Cook all meat thoroughly. Dogs can get e-coli too!
While a small amount of cooked garlic is a natural flea repellent, experts warn that raw and spoiled garlic is toxic to most dogs!
Never feed your dog chocolate!
Only keep precooked meals for three days, than toss the leftovers!
Basic Dog Food Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups uncooked rice
9 cups water
1/4 cup oats
1 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling add:
1/2 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped fine
3 ounces liver, chopped fine
8 ounces ground beef (or chicken or lamb)
3 tablespoons corn oil
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups vegetables (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.), chopped fine
Stir, turn heat to low, and cook for about 20 minutes until all water is absorbed. Then spread out in flat Tupperware containers, cool and cut into half cup squares. When feeding, add cottage cheese or yogurt, and 1 tsp. supplement mix per 30 lbs of dog weight:
Supplement Mix
1 cup brewer's yeast
1 cup wheat germ
1/8 cup powdered kelp
*TIP* When you change your dog's diet, do it gradually so the modification doesn't upset their tummy.
Mix some homemade food into their regular food, adding a little more at each meal until the switchover is complete.
Luscious Lamb Dinner (Dog Food)

Homemade Dog Food
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground chicken
1/2 lb ground turkey
1 lb baby carrots
2 small baking potatoes
3 cups brown rice
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
Cook all 3 ground meats together in larger 6 quart dutch oven.

Pumpkin Dog Biscuits
2 eggs
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons dry milk
2 1/2 cups flour (wheat is probably better!)
water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Blend eggs and pumpkin together; add salt, dry milk, and flour.
Add water as needed to make the dough somewhat workable.
The dough should be dry and stiff, don't be concerned with crumbs being left in the bowl.
You will need to mix this with your hands because it is too stiff for an electric mixer.
Roll to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into shapes.
Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes on one side, then turn over and bake another 20 minutes.
