Gotta love Bucky! Relate to them? I lived them! I was born in 1946, just after WWII in war torn Berlin, where there was still so much debris floating around it was mind boggling. Both parents smoked and both had an occasional drink. Most people did smoke when I was growing up and I still do. Hell, we even had asbestos everywhere! My crib was wood with a clear finish, there were no helmets for bike riders, no seat belts in cars and I turned out fine. If they don't scare you guys half to death with all the jive talkin' they do, you may turn out fine too!

I grew up in New York, near the city but now live in Connecticut...where they all wear dunce caps...no helmet laws for motorcycles but if you don't put a helmet on your kid or a seat belt on your dog, you're in deep doo! Go figure...lol.

    Yes, I love that song....

    to answer your questions:

    My mother smoked and drank

My crib was probably covered in lead based paint....

I never rode a bike with a helmet and I never will

I always wore a seat belt from about 8 yr old and on...but before that I don't think we did all the time and some of the cars didn't have them..... when I was a baby I rode in the car in my mom's arms not a car seat.

I turned out ok....I'm in good health.

Yes I've heard the song and I can relate, and I'm not even that old.

My mom smoke and drank, I didn't wear a bike helmet, and I played outside instead of sitting at home watching tv like kids do now.

Yes, I have heard it a lot of times! I like that song.

My Mom didn't smoke or drink.

My crib didn't have led based paint on it.

I DID and do ride a bike without a helmet!

There's been seatbelts in cars ever since I've been in one!

YES I DID TURN OUT OK.!.!.!.!.

I guess I don't really relate but I love that song. It's kinda sad, I totally agree that it was a different world.

i don't think of that's... i understand that yet another artist (i think of tracy lawrence) initially planned to place it on his cd, yet they had to shrink it and it went to bucky extremely... possibly that edition have been given released a technique or the different?? -sami-
