How do you feel about nonfiction books?
Personally, I cant read nonfiction. I feel that if I wish to know information about a certain subject matter, I can go online or watch a tv program on it. For me, reading is a way to kind of escape the ordinary, which is why I love reading books like Harry Potter and Anne Rice. Even The DaVinci Code, though based on some fact, is purely a work of fiction and I loved it, but I feel if I actually sat down to read about the history of the Knights Templar, or DaVinci himself, I would be bored to tears. Does anyone feel like that? I know alot of people read nonfiction, but for those who dont, what are your reasons?

I felt like this when I was younger, but have grown to enjoy nonfiction with age. Part of it has to do with your choice of book - some are written almost like novels and move at a fast pace. For example, the book "Hot Zone" by Richard Preston is a fascinating nonfiction book that reads very much like a thriller. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding a good author who writes about a subject that interests you.

Yes, i feel like that too. It would be very boring to read an entire book of non-fiction...unless i am researching for a project. However, i don't mind reading from encyclopaedias, probably because the facts in them only take up a few pages and there are pictures which make the whole thing look interesting.^^ That's why TV does not make you fall asleep.
The best books to read are ones with lots of dialogue between characters and a plot with action.

It is funny that you asked this because I feel the same way. Sometimes when I tell people this they look at me like I'm shallow. I'm an avid reader and consider myself an intellectual =0P but I don't care to read non-fiction, worst of all Self-Help books. Some biographies read like novels and I can enjoy them but other non-fiction, no thanks. Life's is challenging enough, I read to escape.
For real life issues I'd rather get the news online, in a magazine, or a documentary but read a whole of non-fiction? I'd rather take a nap.

I like how the two answers that agree with you are only at level 2, and the two answers that like reading non fiction are both at or above level 4.
I LOVE reading non-fiction. In fact I prefer it to reading fiction (except thrillers, and some sci-fi). I am also above level 4.
