Does anybody else remember THIS?

Inventor Of Water Powered Car Murdered?

This was an amazing video that was just released today on Google Video. This man Stan Meyer's built a car than runs entirely on water. The car gets 100 miles to the gallon, which is just astonishing. Well, what do you think happened to this earth changing inventor.... hmm the man was allegedly poisoned, and died in 1998. Later that week all of his equipment and the car that he created has stolen and never recovered. Stan Meyer's had spoken repeatedly about how he was being threatened by oil companies, but refused to bow to their wishes of abandoning the project.

If a person who is not an engineer can invent a vehicle that runs on water, why are we not using that technology today?

It’s out there, it’s available. I remember when this originally hit the news and whoops, the next thing you know, this guy is murdered and his invention disappeared.

The plans for the car must be out there somewhere. Its got to be reproducible. I dont see why these things arent popping up everywhere?

Yes he was poisoned by some big oil company. They never figured out which one though.

The simple truth of the matter is that to switch a car over to use hydrogen requires two things. #1 a simple change in engine timing. Granted computer controlled cars will need to have their software modified a bit, but that's all that you have to do.

A little bit of information that will help to explain it.

Gasoline burns at something like 1900 feet per second. Thus you actually have to start the burn of gasoline before the engine reaches top dead center. This results in massive back pressure on the crank of the engine and an overall engine efficiency of about 23%.

Hydrogen burns at 40000 feet per second. This means that you can start the burn after the engine reaches top dead center. You eliminate the crank back pressure and the wasted energy with it. The result is that you have more power, better fuel mileage and the engine efficiency goes up to almost 60%.

The other thing is new injectors. Certain injectors wont handle hydrogen correctly. For older cars with a carburator, the carb could actually be removed and replaced with a throttle body/injector system.

This isn't rocket science. Its simply big oil suppressing hydrogen because if we switched to hydrogen, they go under.

Garsh Max let's take a vacation! My favorite line in a song is when all the kids are singing about what they are going to do in the summer and the overweight school bus driver chimes in with "I'm gonna sit on my butt!" My wife was pregnant with our first child and I had taken a part time job at a movie theater to earn some extra cash when this movie came out. We decorated our first childs room completely in Goofy stuff. Our daughter is now 10 years old and she thinks the movie is pretty funny, although as soon as she was old enough she made us re-do the room (for the first time!). It was really pretty funny because all the other little girls had stuff like "Princess" themes and our little girl had Goofy and his son Max everywhere. My wife just thought I was too much like Goofy over having a child not to use the theme. So you ask, do I remember the movie? I lived it!

If you grasp the tip of a typical Oxy Acetlene torch, it too will be cool to the touch. The heat is beyond the tip.

It does not get hot unless it is held near the subject work for a period of time.

At least that portion of the video was misleading. Not sure if it was his doing or the reporter's ignorance.

He also fails to mention that the electricity needed in his process consumes more BTU's than the end product provides. It's interesting but, for now, it's a negative yield.

Sorry the water propelled car is a hoax. there is not enough molecular energy in water to propel a car. The energy used to split the water molecule is more that what you can get from the hydrogen and oxygen.

And if a untrained scientist could engineer it, others would have been able to also.

yes,i REMEMBER SOMETHING ABOUT IT,YOU KNOW THAT TECHNOLOGY IS NOTHING NEW,THE GERMANS INVENTED IT,THEY USED TO POWER A SUBMARINE IN LATER DAYS OF THE REICH,sorry the cap lock was on,,anyway it uses a unknown technology but one that our government knew about,,basically it uses distilled pure water and 99% or better hydrogen peroxide,a little unstable but it did 100% work,,I don,t know why the government does not talk about these things,,must be the big oil prifits and panic they like more..chow freepress

That is sad if it's true. Think of the implications if he had succeeded. No more dependence on oil from terrorists states, which would collapse them, which would pretty much kill terrorism. Global warming (assuming it's man made) would eventually clear up.

I believe that this is totally possible. I know somebody out there has done it or knows how to do it, but of course $$$$$$ takes precedence.

That sounds too good to be true. But yeah if you invented such a thing there are lots of people that would want you dead.

We could sell water to the middle east at $96 a barrel.

    Another pumpkin.

Cleansing after Halloween can be really aggravating.

PS Last time I tried science the energy

balance of water vehicles was negative.

But I sure will kill everybody who tries

to build cars running on beer. Cheers.

We did have the Stanly Steamer back around the beginning of the last century. That was just a tad before my time though.
