    A stick of butter is 1/4 of a pound, or about 110 to 125 grams. (1 lb = 454 g). A bit more butter won't hurt anything, so I'd go with 125g.

    2 cups = 4 sticks = 1 pound

    1 cup = 2 sticks = 1/2 pound

    1/2 cup = 1 stick = 1/4 pound

    1/4 cup = 1/2 stick = 4 tablespoons

A stick of butter is the way are butter is packaged instead of a tub of butter one inch high and about 4 inch long sticks of butter wrapped up. They are about 4 oz.
