Good and Bad. It depends on people's perception.

I strongly believe that all religions stand for truth, humanity and support good. It is just a medium providing you a path to sense divinity, which is just like other senses/feelings - hearing, seeing, happiness, love etc.

We know that in our day-today life if someone witnessed a scene, and communicated to another person. This scene may reach 'n' number of people on undergoing a serious of communication chain. Finally, there is high chance of getting a new face to this scene as it spread across, being entirely different (having many differences) to the original scene.

Similarly, religion which we inherited from our ancestors may have lot of wrappers added by ignorant/innocent/wicked people. So, Instead of blaming any religion, we should try to extract good principles and try to form our own sense (path) to taste divinity.

All differences in terms of religion/caste/regional/sex is created by us - human beings. If one is matured enough (or possesses real educated mind) , this can be realized easily and this thinking is enough to add our part to global harmony.

I pity on people - comparing religions/boasting one particular religion/criticizing other religions/pleasing others for conversions/creating havoc in name of religion/robbing people in name of religion & faith. I pray almighty to give them enough knowledge/mind/sense that will enable them to collect good water from all pools of religion to fulfill their thirst for seeking divinity.

The answer is definitely YES!! Religion helps humanity by making us realise how important it is to respect each others religions, customs and beliefs. Also, variety is the spice of life!! If the whole world had only one religion, there is nothing to explore! We have so many religions today that it is exciting to discover their festivals, enjoy their cuisines and discover how it evolved and this also helps in discovering more places! We would want to experience a different culture and their places of worship.

Religion has produced amazing architectural wonders like churches, temples, pyramids, mausoleums, mosques etc. and everyone is out there discovering more and more things!

We should be learning the good from all of them and just be good to yourself and others. You can also day that today it is the religions that are causing all the problems like terrorism and even problems in marriages! But that only makes us discovers ourselves as to what power lies within us to accept the other and just proves that you are not a narrow minded person. If not because of religions, there will be existence of bad in another form on this earth as to appreciate good, you need to taste the bad also. Otherwise, you will never understand the value of good!

Let us be spiritual in our hearts and accept everyone as equals and enjoy all the religions!

In my personal opinion, religion is good for humanity because the religion speaks about the truth of past and teach the human being how to live in the world, love each other and give guidence to childrens to aged persons how to over come the hurdles and temptations. It also teach us how to enjoy our human life in the world. It also protect from the wrong doings and giving the way for the eternity.

Religion consists of some philosophy, some do's and don'ts. Ibrahim, Buddha, Jesus gave some philosophy, some do's and don'ts for betterment of existing humanity and those who accepted definitely find some goodness with those philosophy. The followers of those philosophy brought the particular religion for existence.

Therefore initially the religion was definitely good for humanity.

However coming to present world what we see that the followers are not understanding or not binding to those philosophy or do's or do'nts. Example 1- The basic of Buddhism is non-violence for any creature (animal / bird). But now majority followers of Buddhism does violence for any creature.(Taiwan,Chinese dishes) . Example-2 The basic of christism is love for mankind. But where-ever the followers went played the rule"divide and rule'(India vs Pakistan,The Americas etc)

According to Carl marks, religion is a slow poison which makes man lethargic, demotivate for work. But so many wars in history happened due to religion .Religion can make a man energetic most successful .

So religion is always good and a must for mankind ,but we do not obey those do's and don'ts and say that religion is not good.

first of all i need to say whoever asking such type of question and whoever give answer to this question for.eg humanity is good than religion or religion divide the human, religon is harm. those not understand what mean by religion? Religion means a way of life which human being follow after his birth until he will die.why i am saying its a way of life.its not man made to himself. if man made means ur question is right. its made by almighty god. so he know what good & bad for his creation. if any religion is against humanity means that not god given. may be its given by him but its corrupted due to the human being. r u sure u r 100% perfect. no one can say i am 100% right human. so the basic concepts first understand the religion clearly. its never against humanity. if u think its harm for human being then 1, ur study is wrong, 2 its corrputed by some human for his personal interest. so first make an testimony with ur religion ( scholars, scriptures, holy book etc)

If anything or anyone tells you that you should be satisfied with a mystery remaining as a mystery, it's bad for you. That is exactly what religion tells us to do, to believe without questioning. If everyone in the past had done just that, we would still be living as hunter gatherers. Also, we don't need religion to teach us morality. We humans, as social animals, have that inherent capacity to be good towards others. We just have to recognise that. And the hope and comfort that religion offers is false hope and false comfort. Just like a false promise. Do we really need that?

Religion is good provided human beings must behave with humanity. Religion always shows good path but unfortunately people are very much interested in its opposite way. By that only a human being can spread culture and tradition, and can have happiness in day to day life.

Humanity is a result of the very purpose of religion. God.

So obviously it would be self-destructive to even begin to assume that the worship of our Creator is in any way bad.

Religion to man made idols or demons is just as bad as no religion at all.

Without religion, there would be anarchy, especially considering that God's Commandments are the source of morality. Without religion there is moral and societal decay...exactly what is happening in every single Atheist nation or nation that is trying to do away with religion. Something that is happening here in American and in Europe as well. The practice of abortion, homosexuality, pornography, adultery, rape, molestation, drug use, murder, theft, etc...that's what we get in abundance as the "accepted norm" without the morality of God as our guide.

Before God gave the Law to Moses...the world was so full of sin and evil that God determined to wipe it all out with a flood and start over with the few people who sought out God's will, on the entire planet.

Religion: 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

So absolutely yes, if we don't have religion, we will worship something, and certainly ourselves, and anyone can see where this leads...no where good.

    No.

There are some religions that I prefer more than others, like Buddhism. Buddhism, unlike christianity, doesn't teach that some all powerful human like being wants you to hate other people based on unrealistic criteria.

Religion can be a crutch for someone looking for thier own spirituality. But to be completely deluded into one to the point that your own personal beliefs are lost because they don't conform to one said religion, is a poison. In this case someone should study all religions and philosophies and discover thier own.

Religion can never be good for humanity as a whole because every person is an individual.

Religion is Good for humanity as long as there is a congenial faith in each others religion(s). There has to be tolerance and understanding of each others' respective faith(s). Religion may become a Bane for humanity if there is no tolerence within each religion and the hardliners dominate the human society. Humans are social animals, hence, as all the animals respect each others interests in the forest so should the humans follow. Animals don't have a religion to follow, hence, they live and survive peacefully.

In my opnion, Religion is not good for Humanity because religion is one more hurdle to seperate one human to other human like cast, colour and status.

Religion is even more dangrouse for Humanity.

In human being should be a human first a kind hearted human who can understand others also thats all.
