important.?

I found my dog chewing on an EastPower heavy duty AA battery. She got most of the covering off (which is black and green) AND bit through the battery. Some (not too much though) black stuff leaked out. I'm not sure if she licked some of it or not. I looked on the battery to see any warning and there wasn't anything. I'm really worried that it could be lethal for her. It's 9:37pm at night and obviously there aren't any animal hospitals open. Does anyone know ANYTHING about those batteries.

If anyone has any helpful answers I'd really appreciate it.

Update:

I found another battery of the same one and it's an EastPower Heavy Duty size AA UM3 R6P 1.5V

the only warning it says on it is that it may explode or leak if recharged or disposed of fire.

Update 2:

I have been looking online and it says that it's toxic and i shouldn't induce vomiting.

and it says Alkali batteries, button cell batteries, cadmium batteries, lithium batteries.

idk if the battery i have is one of the following. doe anyone else. she seems to be acting fine. . she doesn't have any symptoms (yet) and liek i said im not sure if she did get the acid or w/e b/c the covering was over it but there was a small hole. and not a lot came out either.

sorry..it was also just teeth marks. and the covering was still on it but teeth marks through. i'm not 100% sure if it went through but still!!!

sorry i keep adding so much. She's acting fine. she's running around and acting normal

    Try to get a hold fo a vet asap!

    I don't know about the batteries but maybe you can contact them for information.

    Don't know for sure about the batteries. Until you can contact a vet, get the dog to drink a lot of water. Try putting some broth into her water bowl so she'll drink it. It should help "flush out some of the toxic stuff. And Call a vet. Most have an emergency number. It will of course cost you more but isn't you dog worth a couple extra bucks, mine is. Good Luck

    From what I've heard, battery fluid can cause some serious damage. Contact a vet that is open asap. Call them up. They should be able to assist you the best.

    Keep the battery with you, call Poison control and see what they suggest.. Batteries are very dangerous to pets.

    This is very dangous your vet should have a night number to reach them but find one somewhere ASP
