Bill Clinton Forecasted Deficits Because He Had BackLoading Spending During His Term?

Do Dems remember the fact that Bill Clinton set budgets that dramatically increased spending for AFTER he got out of office?

That allowed him to say he had "surpluses." But, he was setting up the next President to be strapped with deficits.

What does it say if Libs aren't educated enough about their own President's term?

Bush uses the same accounting methods that Clinton did but Bush still keeps running deficits.

The main problem is that Clinton stifled the economy gradually with increased taxes all over the place. This takes a while to show up as business start to realize over a few years they can't hire as many people and eventually start to shut down or downsize. All economic indicators were going down by massive amounts just as Bush was coming into office. On the contrary, growth is very good now, if the face of a housing problem. The next president will look good if they do not mess it up. There is always a lag.

Where do you start with this misinformed drivel?

    Tribeca......WHAT??

Global warming ain't cool.......Why not start now, your party controls both houses? (and the answer is..)they would rather bash Mr.Bush.

If it wasn't for the republicans control of both houses, there would be no brakes on the Clinton runaway train. Don't forget the first tax he asked for before the ballroom was cleared, was the biggest tax hike on the American citizens was---let's hear it......drum role please......yes......raising the Social Security tax!! Approved by his cohorts the congress.(Dems in charge then)

Had it not been for the republicans winning the congress on 1995 who knows what would have happened. The Republicans forced Clinton to sign bills changing the welfare system. That is a matter of factual record! Tax breaks the republicans got through both houses, with sunset in 10yrs...no 9yrs.....wait....7yrs.....clinton couldn't make up his mind which he would approve. He did approve 7 with sunset yrs. He signed them because he knew his veto would be overridden.

What the republicans did on taxes and welfare,Clinton got credit for.

Whatever happens in a Presidential term is his fault,win-lose-or draw.

Source(s): congrssional records......look it up! p.s. let us not forget the mess were in with North Korea and China. Brought to you courtesy of your friendly CLinton Administration. Look that up in your "FUNK and WAGNER"

What about the "Peace dividend" that, according to Clinton, America was going to get by disbanding a third of our Armed forcesafter the Cold War? And we still got huge deficit spending!

Well, the Congress was run by Republicans, so any budget Bill created at the end of his term had to be greenlighted by them.

    Neener neener neener!

Clinton managed a sound budget my friend, as, the Republicans should like to do, but can't, because they are undisciplined economically.
