First make sure that all of your antivirus programs are disabled. Ive found this is the problem fifty percent of the time. If thats not it I would unpulg the router and your modem from the wall and wait two minutes, after that, replug and it should connect.

If you know the IP address of your modem provided by you ISP then open the router's web administration and look for the WAN IP of the router (not LAN IP) and make sure it matches that of the ISP.

If not, try to release and refresh (or renew) the WAN IP using the Web administration. If its still not working. Disconnect the power from the modem and router and turn the modem back on. Wait about 45 seonds then turn the router back on.

Make sure the ethernet cable from the modem is connected to the WAN port of the router.

Recheck the WAN IP of the router. (you can also check it using "ipconfig /all" in the command prompt - Start-->Run-->cmd)

Also, make sure DHCP server is enabled on the router. Also make sure the Wireless radio is enabled.

You must unplug power from the modem for about one minute first. Switching off does not work. Connect the router and power the modem. Wait for it to sync, then turn on the router. Do NOT use the disk to set up your connection, check the manual for the web based configuration method. Once you have a wired connection working set up wireles encryption. Then connect the wireless machine using it's card utility.
