Oh boy the list could go on forever. Your pigs can eat apples, melons, orange segments, pineapple, grapes, plums, cucumbers, carrot, celery, dark leafy greens like spinach and romaine, banana peels, beet greens, watermelon rind, tomatoes, corn husks and cobs, potato peels, fresh grass, kale, etc. The dark leafy greens are important for Vitamin C which guinea pigs can' t produce on their own.

Pigs can have ice burg lettuce but in small quantities. See the problem with too much ice burg lettuce, celery, and melon is that those fruits and veggies are mostly water. This causes diarrhea. So they can have it just in small amounts.

Guinea pigs consume most of their water through their food. So if your pig isn't drinking as much he probably just isn't thirsty. Just always have fresh water for him and fresh veggies and he will be fine.

Guinea pigs need to have a lot of variety in their diet, and fruit and veg is essential.

My guinea pigs like Melon, Pumpkin, Grapes, Lettuce, Cabbage, Carrot....the list could go on.

Just try a few things out. I know some guinea pigs like pepper.

Try not to give your guinea pig too much of the same thing all at once. They can get runny poos...and just get bored of it!

Yes guinea pigs don't need to drink much. They are bred to live in very hot climate conditions and can make water last a long time. However, they should still have fresh water available at all times. Also, if you have just fed your guinea pig moist food [eg. apple] then they can get water from that and wont drink as much as they would if they were just eating dry food or hay.

Guinea pigs also like grass, so during the winter when they are not outside pick them some dandelion leaves etc. Just make sure it hasnt been sprayed with weed killer!

    Hope this helps.

if they have enough fresh fruit or veg it doesn't matter i have a guinea pig for 6 years and he hadn't had a drop of water but he have LOTS of fresh fruit and veg apples, pears ,plums, nectarines, lettuce, carrots including the levees ,spinach, the outside from the banana, green grass from my garden, dandelion leaves from my garden, don't give them only one thing and a lot from it because they need to have variety and take vit c from somewhere, and that is from fruit and veg or through water(if you put vit c)(i read somewhere not to give them cucumber so i don't know if its true though)

    hope this helps

Will depend on on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits for me personally. It's tastier and gives you that tad of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to lower back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
