What is a good, not-too-expensive, one cup coffee maker?

We had a black and decker one cup maker - you know, the kind with the little pods - and it was so loud (made this horrendous vibrating noise) and splattered water EVERYWHERE when you used it. We got rid of it and I was just wondering if all these types of coffee makers do this or if ours was defective or just sucked.

Should we bother trying another brand (like the Senseo machine) or just stick with the normal coffee makers. Thanks for your input!

the best one I had was a Krupp's and it was called 4cup but that was 20 ounces and I used it as 1 big mug. It lasted 15yrs. Now I have a Mr Coffee 4 cup and it is the same 20 oz. It has automatic timer so coffee is all ready for me in the morning and it was only $19 at Walmart. It is not very loud.

in case you purely drink a small cup that's effective yet once you drink a mug it somewhat is two photos. Very costly with small determination of types and expensive water heater for packs of cocoa. you need to purchase a adapters for some gadgets to apply common espresso, yet that takes time and is messy. It does not have the flavor of unpolluted floor espresso. i take advantage of a 4 cup espresso maker which I activate when I arise and have espresso after my morning bypass to to the bathing room. The Keurig B60 took 4 cases the counter area as my espresso maker. It become a wast of money.

I wouldn't bother with a machine. Look for Folger's Singles, or another brand if available, coffee bags, basically the same thing as tea bags. Microwave the water and away you go.
