What do you think about??
A black tie gala night on new years eve? Me and my boyfriend are thinking about it at a hotel near us (for a bit of a change) were 23 and 26 do you think something like this will be full of older people (cos my mum and boyfriend think it will be full of 50year olds) Not that theirs anything wrong with older people just thought it might not be our kind of thing!! What do you think? Also any suggestions on what we could do instead?? Thanks!

Fo4r me, its not about where you are for new years, its about who youre with...i feel like if me and my woman are going out, nothing or nobody else even matters...we're going to get OUR groove on, OUR drink on, and OUR celebratory mood on. Its all about US everytime we step out the door, everytime we go somewhere.

Go for it, itll be a different way to spend new years eve and if u dont enjoy it, just dont go next year! I reckon u'll enjoy it and even if it is an older crowd, u still have each others company and that of the hotel bar. Ull always remember it whether its a bad or good night! better then paying 5quid to get into a pub u normally get in free too.

I would talk with hotel management about the event. Ask what age group the crowd has been for the past three years. Also ask about the music played (is the music from our era or 20 years ago?) My husband and I did this a few years back with some friends of ours, other than us everyone there WAS 50+ years old. Needless to say is was like being at a senior center party.

sounds lovely, so what if their all over fifty, you will be the belle of the ball, anyway we older ones know how to enjoy ourselves, at least you won't have to/ or your boyfriend fend of all those drunken young men who want to snog you. HAPPY NEW YEAR, queen, Beatles, bon jovi, rolling stones, eagles, Cher, are just a few that we oldies danced to, and there still very popular. go for it gal

You'd probably have a good time anyway. In fact, you might have more fun with the older crowd than ayounger crowd cause they tend to be more responsible with their fun.
