To Jeannekevindecena: There are only 9 Misa de Gallos. That's from Dec. 16-24.

I used to attend the Simbang Gabi when I lived in Washington... because the Filipino community was very active in our church but I don't know if we'll be going now that I live in the Philippines..

I'm not a Catholic but we do similar things... I'm Protestant (Methodist)... before when I was in the Philippines, we usually go to what so called 'morning mass'... we listen to the pastor's sermon, watch presentations, then most of the audiences stay and eat meals from the church, and that's pretty much it...

My Lola usually attends last year ( she completed the 12 days )

Oh God, this tradition is what I truly miss in the Philippines.

I always wish for good health for my entire family and friends.

If I was there, why not? But I am usually here in Christmas, where that very day is in fact, a working day.

I did it once, in the high school days. Not anymore, no time or desire to do it any more...
