Check out the breed site. I had a very highly bred hunting Vizsla about 15 yrs ago. She pointed EVERYTHING and was eager to learn and please.
HOWEVER, she also became obsessive over me and actually caused injury to my grandfather when he was trying to change my tire for me. We had to keep her from guests and thank God she was gone before I had kids. Maybe she was a bad apple socially. My dad was a gun dog trainer and said she was pure joy to hunt. But she was a social psycho.

This is a VERY active hunting breed.
They need lots of exercise and need to be worked out in the field and have lots of run time each day.
They will follow their noses and they need to get started with basic obedience right away. They are short coated and easy to groom and care for. Mostly dry and brush off the dirt. Clip nails and clean teeth.
They can be possive and somewhat hyper. They need lots of activity to burn off the energy. They really do best in a hunting home or one that can take them out and let them run a field each day. Since they are highly active they tend to stay that way most of their lives. I have a friend with one female who was still catching squirrels at 10.
Consistant training and lots of exercise is best for this breed.
They may not be the most social dog to have around strangers as they can be possive of the owners but with work they can do ok.
I like them and think the breed is a great hunter.

They are high energy dogs originally bred for hunting. They'll need lots of obedience training and daily exercise.
