Are HID (kit) lights illegal in Oregon and washington?
I bought a 6000k HID kit..I'm getting it installed in seattle tomorrow and driving home the same day... I own a 300 Touring AWD I know the 300c srt8 has 4300k HID installed from the factory.. So question #1 Is the kit gunna be illegal and question #2 if it is illegal and the srt8's have them installed from the factory (my car basically looks like the srt8) should I get messed with by the popo's? I know 4300k and 6000k look alike for the color.

I'm almost positive that you'll be fine as long as you have the HIDs leveled correctly so they don't blind others. Other wise you WILL be pulled over. HIDs are legal in the US. The DOT recommends that projector optic lamps like those found in high end cars (noticeable by clear lens) are more safer because light reflects more (you see more in front of you). They also stated that they preferred the 4300K because it distracted less drivers around you. You should be fine with the 6000K.
