I am ready to comit how can i tell if he is?
there is this guy we have known eachother for about 6 months now and he is really hard to read. one minute he will be lovey and cute and the next he is really hard to talk to. i am ready to stop playing games and just start a relationship but how do i know if he is? any tips would be very helpful thanks!

This is difficult situation to be in for you, but not an uncommon one. Because of our traditional social and peer roles and expectations, it is often difficult for a guy to talk or even hint very openly about commitment in a romantic relationship. This may be one of the few times that patience and waiting are the preferable course of action.
Make it known that you are ready and willing to commit to a relationship with him. And then leave it alone. Once he knows for certain that this is what you desire, he will begin privately making up his own mind on the matter. When he reaches a decision, he will either offer you the commitment that you desire... or he won't.
From there, it's elementary. You'll obviously know how you want to proceed if and when he offers the commitment. If he doesn't offer it before you get tired of waiting and lose interest in it, well... that's never fun, but it happens. Wish him the best, but politely move on with your life.
