Help! I have a question about pregnancy...?
My wife is pregnant and we dont have benefits right now. Where can we go to get a doctor supervised pregnancy test and check up that is paid for by the state (NV) or is super cheap. We need to get this done but are a bit broke as I just got back to work. Let me know...

Depending on how far along she is, considering waiting until you get back on insurance. Pregnancy is usually considered a pre-existing condition and insurance often will not cover pre-existing conditions. You should look into your future benefits and find out whether or not they accept and treat pre-existing conditions or not. A lot of "crappy" jobs have good insurance policies like Dick's Sporting Goods and Pet Smart so you don't need a good job to get good insurance.
The first few appointments are just consultations; they'll tell you what to eat and what not to eat, what medicines you can't take, and will give you some information on pregnancy. Honestly, everything the doctor told me I had read in What To Expect When You're Expecting. It won't hurt her if she misses doctors appointments the first few weeks or so.
Here in Michigan there are free pregnancy test clinics (usually around college campuses, haha, I'm not kidding you) and we have Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood will give you pretty cheap (or free) health care based on how much money you make.
Good luck and congrats on the baby!

You should go to your local health department. you can get a pregnancy test done at a cheap price and stay can help you on getting pregnancy medicaid for your wife if you guys need financial help. you can look up the department in the phone book under the government section: department of human service or health department

Usually each county will have a health department where you can get all of that done at low or no cost and you may also be able to apply for state health care.
Planned parenthood is another option.
