Why does my mac keep making swish noises?
For some reason my Mac keeps making swoosh type sound effects but I am not doing anything. I'm not putting anything in the trash or anything, what is that?

its like a swoosh noise.

It could be one of the following:
You have a new email (Mail program)
A contact has signed on/off (ichat or adium)
You would have to describe the sound better to get a more accurate answer. Hope this helped.
