How do you find Windows Installer,to update it? best answer for best answer?

my itunes is old and I need to update installer to put music on my ipod from itune please help!

    Try to use the "Windows Update". It should be somewhere under "start". It also needs to latest Installer. Going to Microsoft Downloads is correct to however you will need to know what you are looking for and how to get there. You should install the other updates in top of this one also. If you don't have the latest Installer (ver 3.1 I believe) then you havent ran the updates at all. Most of these updates reference security issues with your Windows software and "patch" these holes up.

    open iTunes go to HELP then CHECK for updates

    Try using "microsoft knowledge base". I have always been able to solve all my problems from their site.
