How to know when the bread is cooked?
I've been baked my first bread this night and it turns out well, but it does not have a beautiful look at the top and it is quite yellow, not brown as any other bread. It seems like doesn't having any crust on it, just the light yellow and brown color on top. Anyway, from my own taste, it has totally cooked.

Press down lightly on the top of the bread. If it springs back up, it's cooked...if not, let it bake longer. For better browing, brush melted butter on top prior to baking.

i'm not in any respect particular there's a suitable or incorrect answer right here! What you realized to do extremely relies upon how previous you're and your relatives possibilities at the same time as you've been growing to be up! The grease police have struck in our living house lately, so possibly that is a similar on your position too!? Ha! Ha! Butter, oil, lard, rooster fat, dripping... something oily/greasy/fatty you've round will do. yet i'm afraid i do no longer for my section approve of cooking at hot temperature i.e. frying in butter, because it ought to "seize" really promptly and burned butter (like all fat) isn't superb for you, besides as smelling really off-putting. the thanks to make the great fried bread: spread an somewhat little smear of dripping (or the different solidified fat) over each and each and every fringe of the bread (making particular you conceal lots of the bread, so do no longer be overly propose) and then fry in a dry, non-stick pan that you heated first. this technique makes particular the fat content cloth is minimum and produces extremely amazing crunchy fried bread. bear in options that the alternative of fat used will flavour both dish too, so it is your decision that you want.

Bread browns when the sugar in the crust darkens. If there isn't much sugar you will not see the brown color as much. If it tastes good don't worry about it. They say you know when a loaf of bread is done when you thump it and it sounds hollow.

The best thing you can do is get a stem thermometer and stick it into the side of the bread. It should be like at least 190 degrees internal temperature. That's the only way to know for sure.

You should cook breed around 45 min in pre-heated owen (between 180C and 200C). For crust, take the breed out 5 min before and butter it, than put it back in. It will get nice colour, crust and colour. For hard use wather instead of butter.

you can tell if its pretty crispy on the edges but not to crispy. If its squishy its another way to tell if its almost done. Try takeing a toothpick and poking it throught e bread take it out. Then if nothing sticks to it then ur finished! Hope this works
