Can Nba Players still break the backboard these days?

Like what Shaq and Darryl Dawkins did?

Lol Man I wish they did, that would some entertaining thing to watch. But these days its harder the backboards are made out of stronger material, and you'd probably get fined and a delay of game warning lol

possible, but unlikely because was asked not to stay on the rim then dunking too long beacuse of other times. Backboards are stronger now but it can happen at any time.

Shaq broke it even with the spring and flex and stuff,

he basically pulled it down so the shocks gave out.

It was in Phoenix when it happened. I think he had broken

the glass before, this time he just pulled it down.

So to answer the question its is possible but not likely.

I wish, i think most are pansies anymore... And i wish people got more creative with there dunks in the game like Vince Carter used to.

yeah if they really tried and slam dunked really hard enough.

shaq was a beast and tore down the whole thing.

who knows, shaq lost weigh so i guess it would be a little difficult for him, um well maybe not he is still a big guy.
