My husband applied for a car loan online with his social security number on it.?

Could this cause us any problems with identity theft? Is there anyway to avoid it if there is?

It should be secure. I applied for a home loan by computer and got it...Make sure you know with whom you are dealing and keep an eye on your credit report! I do not see a problem!

depends on "how Secure" the Traders system is , personally , I will NEVER give that sort of info. out on the Net , but simply arrange with the Trader to have that info, sub-mitted via another form of print,,,eg. fax/post/office visit...they can still "part-process" the supplied info. while waitng for Confirmation Info. and it may delay the Loan for awhile , but it IS safer!
