I have trouble with writing. I'm kinda addicted to it, I would really like to become an author. What do I do??
I LOVE writing, mainly teen fiction, is my BIG specialty. I think it's fun to read, and those quirky and awkward situations in teen love really spark my interest. I'm inspired by songs, pictures, anything. What can I do though, to help me become an author? Help!?!?!

I love to write to and wish to become a writer, but all you can do is keep writing and when you least expect it the best thing will happen, you'll give your story(S) to an agent and it will be published.

Keep doing what you're doing, writing is the only way to become a writer.
Don't even worry about publishing yet, just sit down and write every day until you have a book you think other people would read, once you have that, then you can start looking for a publisher.
A lot of people will tell you to look for agents, I say, avoid them, since you are a beginner. Agents can only do so much for you as a beginning writer, and they'll never be able to get you in with a big publisher, but that's not so bad. Smaller publishers love finding new authors and are always actively searching for the next big thing, because if they can get the next Harry Potter or whatever else is popular, that allows them to beat the bigger companies that usually trump them in sales. Most smaller publishers just take whole manuscripts sent to them in the mail, and it will take a few months, generally at least three, for them to reply to your submission. More often than not, it's a no, but keep at it, send it to another publisher. Eventually, one will say yes. If after, let's say, 100 submissions, nobody says yes, start writing another book.
It takes a lot of hard work but the pay off (not monetary pay off, mind you) is unbelievable if you succeed.

Pick up a copy of the writer's 'Bible' which is Writer's Digest at your local magazine store. It is considered by Authors, Publishers, Editors and general writer's to be more informative and knowledgeable on the all aspects of writing. If you take their secrets and knowledge to heart, you will soon be on your way to becoming and fulfilling your dream.

You already ARE an author if you've already written stories.
Don't worry about getting published. Just write.
