what was that toy building kit...?

... early 60's, wooden pieces shaped and painted like parts of Brooklyn brownstone houses, with cellophane/cardboard windows? I had one of those in maybe 1963, can't find it anywhere!

Update:

not lincoln logs; these actually looked like Brooklyn brownstone facades taken apart.

    Your most likely thinking of lincoln logs... they fit the discription. They are hard to find today. That would be my best guess.

    When I grew up in the 50s, I had an Erector set and tinker toys. I used to try to build the George Washington Bridge out of the Erector set, but it never did quite look like the real bridge.
