How do I get huge eye lashes?
I have long, straight, thin eye lashes. I use an eyelash curler and about 5 coats of mascara to make them big, but they end up looking like Tammy Faye Baker. I want full lashes, not clumping together. I have tried different types of mascara. Is there a particular type I should use? I have tried fake lashes, but I think the glue hurts my eyes. I would love to have pretty long full lashes. Can you give me some tips? Thanks.

The best mascara I've found so far is Great Lash. Yes, it's cheap, but it's a favorite of celebrities. It doesn't clump but provides great volume and length. No matter what mascara you use, though, technique is the most important part in getting long, full lashes.
1. Make sure there is no mascara residue from last application.
2. While your lashes are "naked", curl them with an eyelash curler.
3. Make sure you take off any clumps on the brush before you apply your mascara, as this will result in the Tammy Faye Baker look.
4. This is the important part - work on one eye at a time! Never apply mascara on top of a coat that has already dried. It will look very tacky.
5. Start in the center of your lash line. Blink onto the brush, and as you are blinking roll the applicator towards your eye.
6. If you want a cat eye look, pull the brush to the outside corner of your eye at the same time. This simple act will add tons of volume to your lashes, and will make them look much fuller.
7. If you choose not to go with the cat eye look, then use the curler while the mascara is still wet (make sure it's clean or it'll stick to your eyelashes!).
8. Repeat for the other eye.
If this still doesn't give you the length and volume you want, you can cheat by dusting powder over your eyelashes before you apply the mascara. This works very well and is not clumpy at all. As a matter of fact, it tends to separate the lashes even more than normal.
Another trick to make lashes appear more prominent is to apply black liquid liner (brush, preferably), with a thicker line towards the outside corners. When using black liner, it can make your eyes seem dark and sunken in. To reverse this effect, apply a soft white or peach pencil liner to the inside corners of the eyes. This brightens up the eye area and brings attention to the center of your face. It will contrast nicely with the lashes, making them seem larger.
Hope that helped! :]

I use the Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara and it really works.
It gives you the right amount of volume and makes your lashes full, but not clumpy.
It's super cheap ( it's available at Walmart or your local drugstore) and doesn't irritate your eyes at all.
You can wash it off with water or makeup remover, but it won't smudge.
For some tips...
Use the eyelash curler, but start at the lash line and slowly crimp the lashes until the end.
You can also fake the look of big lashes by applying eyeliner at the lash line.

I normally used a covergirl mascara and I use a tissue or toilet paper and blott the extra mascara off the wand before I use it. An eye lash curler will help also. but I use a small comb and comb out the clumps and that makes them bigger and more full. Good Luck!!!!!!
I will give you the website to show you the eyebrow brush.

curler, powder dusting and eyelash comb. always works for me though i admit, i have great lashes to start with. dont do multiple coats, it turns into tar. and start off clean.
those funky mascaras with a basecoat might be worth a try.
