Good starter camera for kids?

I brough my daughter a digital camera last year. It was a kids camera with the screen on the back. She takes good pictures but the quality sucks. Where can I find a cheap one that may take better quality pics

kodak makes some good cameras and some have some built in editing, like borders and such. they run relatively cheap for a model thats a year old. about $100 bucks. i happen to know that walgreens, if you have those near you, do carry them.

The Kodak C513, if you can find it, is about $80. But what I would recommend instead is the Nikon Coolpix L10, which is about $105 and well worth the extra money. The Canon Powershot A460 is about $115 and also worthy of consideration.

Those are about the cheapest ones that take quality images.

Kodak has one for $80 the 513 and Sanyo has one for $88 the 760 I think.

    For $100 there's the Nikon L10, Kodak 613

i would go to the local best buy or circuit city and talk too them . don't let them talk you into anything that you don't need now , you can always upgrade later if she really wants to get into photography . i have a friend who has an inexpensive digital that takes vary good pic. because she set it to the highest resolution but she cant take as many pic. because each pic. uses more memory . hope this helps some.

Get her a manual SLR so as to learn the basics and to grasp the idea. Something like a Nikon FM10 kit should work fine. Later you can let her choose whatever she likes.
