Is it legal for a neighbor to erect plastic tarps, many(ugly) approx. 10-20' high behind our home and property?

is there a county code? phone # ? something i can call and ask first if it is illegal and if so can i request a visit from the code enforcement specialist to come see the blocking of my/our view as well as the neighbors around us.

these neighbors have some serious issues, this is quite a site.

i was born and raised in this home and have never seen anything like this. it's destroying the lovely view of the neighborhood and looks like a hippie camp.

we don't have thousands of dollars to take them to court or the time or negative energy associated with such a thought.

we live in nevada county, california.

i/we could use all the information we can get so if you can help, please doooo!!! thanks and have a nice day!

Here is a link for Nevada County zoning information, which will be a good place to start. Note that if you live in a city, you will most likely need to check the city's zoning ordinances, rather than the county's.

Actually, there may be zoning statutes in your county which forbid 'impeeding the view of others....'.

You would need to call your county planning and zoning commission. If there is no such rule, law or statute, you are out of luck. They have the right to do as they wish on their own land as do you.
