Suggest a Cool Name for our Gay Student Club, please!?

Hi, I'm a gay college student from Seoul, Korea.

I am an active member of a gay student club(union) of my university.

Me and our members are hoping to have a cool, creative and inspiring name for our club.

Would you suggest a cool name for my university's student gay club?

Below are the names of other universities' gay student club:

a) QIS (Queers In SNU)

b) Come Together (Yonsei Univ.)

c) Humans to Humans (Korea Univ.)

d) DMZ between Straights and Gays

e) Rainbow Fish (CAU)

f) GLOW (Gays and Lesbians Of Waseda)

g) The Left-handers

......

Anyone has a brilliant idea for our club's name?

FYI, my school's name is 'Sogang', and the most commonly used Korean word for 'gay' is 'ivan'.

I've just thought of one : IF-IS (Ivan the Fabulous In Sogang) pronounced 'if is'.

Don't use the word "Queer" or Gay outright. It sort of punches one in the face. You know that being gay in Korea is not so acceptable as much as you might like it to be. Pushing this out into the face of the general public does not gain any friends nor does it lead to understanding.

Being In Korea I can understanding your position but also have a sense of the public position. Be what you want to be but if you are less obvious - flagrant is perhaps a better word - you will gain much more acceptance on a much more civilized level in the long run and that is what counts.

The name should be short. The IF-IS is an acronym but the full name is a jaw breaker. Korean puts family names at the front. How about Sogong Ivan or Ivan Boys. You want an acronym - I BOSS I van BOyS, Sogong.

In Korean it is Noun Object, Verb and frequesntly I find that Koreans will drop the verb. I am boss becomes I BOSS. Boss is the top man. The boss is the one who directs things, takes responsibility, leads the troops. OK, You are the Boss.

I suppose you will now ask the question "I BOSS?" Yes you are.

Any organists in your group? We built a nice organ in a church in JongNo 5-Ga.

Shambhala Society...certainly the mythical Shambhala as the perfect peaceful warriors would symbolize gay students!

you might want to involve greek mythology... Ganymede was a young man and he was the lover of the god Zeus... and there's a moon in Jupiter (which is Roman for Zeus) called Ganymede... I'd think of an acronym... but I suck at those :p

I have a song you can sing at the meeting-

We're here! We're Queer! We're ready to start our career!"

    Maybe "INS" Ivan National Society
