Tony C Q:Where's THAT in the bible?

What bible verse says that you should follow traditions or authority of a child molesting church like the Catholics?

After all, the Jews have proven many times that the trinity is false.

Catholics killed millions in the name of Christ, when Jesus said to be loving.

The religion was created so that Constantine could combine the pagan doctrines with the Christian ones and dominate everyone.

Shouldn't Christians follow what Jesus said instead of what the "Catholic pope " says? How is he any better than me?

Update:

Thank you Larina S.

We all have a choice. But a lot of us get comfortable. We refuse to change.

Source(s): Only God can help us accept change. Catholics pray to Mary and God. Jesus to them is a fallacy. Do not put Jesus in this fiasco. some would like to entertain the thought that Jesus has something to do with the sins of men and women. the Pope is their God.Mary is counted as their Mother. So without the word of God. Man is left to his own mind and devices. The Pope is a man with like passions as any man. God exposes us to who we really are. Sometimes this is painful. Just like Adam and Eve we run and hide. God calls to us in the garden. Come. Those that practice sins and those that are sinned against. He says let us reason together. Though your sins be as crimson he will make them white as snow. Tho they be as scarlet,he can make them as wool. Prayer and relationship is also reasoning with God. So we end it in the name of Jesus. What did Jesus say to us in the word of God? Do you know? God's promises are yes and amen.

You're all over the board here, so let's see if I can make any sense of your "questions."

First, Jesus says many times that His authority is greater than that of the religious leaders (Sanhedrin, etc).

Second, Catholics are people and subject to sinful behavior, ranging anywhere from gossip to murder. The individuals are the problem here. The Church is still the authority and Bride of Christ, meant to bring order to our community.

So ,YES you are to follow Jesus, not the Pope (or any other human). And YES the Church is still the Body of Christ in the world.

He's not, and the catholic church as more issues than Time magazine. The Bible never says to follow the authority of the church. It says to follow the law of the land unless in contradicts your faith in God. So, in answer, it never says that in the Bible. You have to sort out your beliefs for yourself, and if you find a church group in which you an minister and be ministered too, go there. Until then, keep yourself open minded.
