  • Noah's Ark - http://www.pbase.com/paulthedane/noahs_ark?

    Atheists/ non-believers need not apply -- thanks! :>)

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

To my brethren: Do you believe in a literal Noah's Ark?

I found this to be an awesome witness by one faithful Christian. http://www.pbase.com/paulthedane/noahs_ark

I still don't know every detail of how God does things, but I am certain that He is as active now as He was in Biblical times. Were the animals in some kind of stasis over the 40 days? What are your thoughts?

Again PLEASE Christians only .... and thanks for your thoughtful responses.

  • If the answer is no good, why pick it as "BEST?"?

I have seen a lot of this, and it really makes no sense to me:

a question will receive a few really thoughtful responses, and the asker will choose one. So far, no problem.

What I don't get is when the asker's comments then say something negative about the response; ie -- "this was totally off-base," or "did you even read my question" -- when there were other perfectly legitimate answers to choose from.

If the asker thinks an answer is no good, why pick it as "BEST?"

Have you ever done this? Can you explain the logic to me?

This is a serious question, as I am confused....thanks

BTW - I am posting this in R&S because I seem to see it happening here most often...

  • How can you tell if you have a high or low YA community rating?

When you go to report a "question" that is really a rant, or and "answer" that is either obscene, copy/paste for multiple questions or straight advertising, there is a paragraph stating that "not everyone" who reports such things is going to "rate," according to YA. But, while I can see my points, my Best Answer ratio, etc on my profile, I cannot find where to see my "YA Community Standing."

Any thoughts? TIA and blessings on your day!

  • iPod Shuffle -- books and podcasts?

YEAH!! I got an iPod Shuffle for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to getting it charged up and running. My biggest question is: can I load books and/or podcasts on itinstead of music. It has a feature to play tracks in sequence instead of randomly, so I'm hoping this will work. My goal is to be able to catch up on some reading while working out and during my commute. I know I can just read the directions or learn by trial and error, so please don't be snarky...

I would really like to hear:

    What has your experience been?

What advice can you give me?

  • Possibly moving to Indiana--do you know much about Seymour?

I know that today it is about 19 degrees and clear with snow expected this weekend. The weather isn't my biggest concern. I'm really wanting to know about the over-all culture; distances between things; daily life and activities there. I've lived in both Massachusetts and California, but mostly in larger towns.

Can you tell me something of what I might expect. Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply, and Happy Holidays!
