Noah's Ark - http://www.pbase.com/paulthedane/noahs_ark?

Atheists/ non-believers need not apply -- thanks! :>)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

To my brethren: Do you believe in a literal Noah's Ark?

I found this to be an awesome witness by one faithful Christian. http://www.pbase.com/paulthedane/noahs_ark

I still don't know every detail of how God does things, but I am certain that He is as active now as He was in Biblical times. Were the animals in some kind of stasis over the 40 days? What are your thoughts?

Again PLEASE Christians only .... and thanks for your thoughtful responses.

''If You Need Help, Ask God. If You Don't, Thank God''...

Blessings!

Update:

NOTE - By making a request to limit the question to Christians only -- many of whom will NOT agree with me or even with each other -- I am trying to be respectful of not wasting any non-believer's time. Again, blessings....

I think God led the animals to the ark and contolled them so they wouldn't eat each other. Anything is possable with God.

Source(s): wow, some people don't even know the story....It wasn't a year it was 40 days and 40 nights!

Note that it is 1/12th of the size, and they still did not float it on a canal.

Find me a maritime engineer that can design a wooden boat the size of the ark that will not break up or leak like a sieve on a calm ocean swell and I will take the story slightly more seriously.

Also I must have missed the bit about Noah making 6ft high panes of glass. The windows on the ark are described as a single window one cubit square. To provide adequate ventilation over the three decks Noah would have to design a system to move air though the window at about 200 mph.

Finally, where did you get 40 days? That is how long it rained. Go back a re-read the passage. The animals were on the ark for one year.

That's a good start...now just get about 2 million species in there with enough food for a whole year and keep them alive for that long. Then I'll be impressed.

OK, I have to admit that it is cool, but how and where could you possibly house two of every animal?

Noah's Ark makes for a great children's story and I have brought models for all of my children and now, grand children.

All 19,000 species of bees on board make honey for the animals to eat.
