Text Messaging, I don't understand what . ..?
I don't understand, what the purpose is? A phone call is much more convenient, and less time consuming since, you don't have to type out, a reply or a response, using a cell phone number pad.

I once agreed with you.
But texting is much faster and more convienent once you get used to it. You can send your pretty lady a quick - thinking about you or ask her to pick up a gallon of milk, without having to "talk". Especially if she is busy and doesn't have time to answer the phone. She will hear the beep and look at it as soon as she can.
Some things are definitely best conveyed through a voice medium, but texting fills the other 33% quite well.
Good luck.

Actually, I find texting faster. You don't have to wait for the dial out, then the ring, then the Hello's and everything. a quick text, then a reply. Much quicker. Plus you can send hubby a special pic too! ; )

I use predictive text which I love and its awesome. Its fast especially when you want to send a longer message.
Text messaging is fast, convenient and you can check with them before you call them to find out if its a good time fro them. If I feel like talking when you text me.... i 'll call you or text you back to say Hey- lets talk.
ps texting is a GREAT way to give my husband a shopping list for the grocery store!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

You would be surprised by how fast some people text as well. It is like asking why email someone when you can just call them. It is easier. Straight and to the point. Plus it is easier to ignore a text than a call.
