It's really not that bad...Like the person before me wrote, it is M for mature.
The graphics aren't as intense as say Gears of War...It's more along the lines of Halo 3, simple graphics and the killings aren't too intense.
I think 12 and up would be good, but certain circumstances may apply. you have to judge your childs personality and maturity level...
You can always go to best buy or a gaming store and look at the game yourself, or maybe visit the games web-site? I would do these things if you are concerned.

M for mature, but that doesnt mean that much. But for the difficulty of the game, the kid should be at least 12.
