I have a friend with Addison's Disease who is constantly drained.?

She has very little energy and we are wondering if there is some kind of vitamin suppliment that she can take that won't interfer with her regular medication.

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry about getting it confused with a pheochromocytoma. Assuming she is getting the right dose of steroid replacement, the Addison's itself won't leave her drained. Unfortunately, taking a vitamin supplement is also unlikely to help, unless she happens to be deficient in that particular vitamin.

She probably has the common or graden 'drained' feeling that lots of us get from time to time.

My uncle died with Addison's disease. I have a family member/in-law in her 50's with Addison's disease.

I don't understand the disease but research tell's me JFK also had Addison's disease.

The only thing I know is, only medication prescribed by a physician is the only thing reliable to help this disease. The autoimmune system is attacked from the disease and has to be monitored closely. Some herbs/vitamins/supplements only aggravate the sickness.

Hopefully your friend isn't having the terrible back pain associated with this.

    So sorry
