1990 mitsubishi montero 3.0 4x4 dash gauges not working properly?

i did a tune up on this truck and the dash gauges quit working now, no harness is loose and i can't find a fuse for the dash assembly. there are fuse under the hood and on the door side of dash but no dash fuse, fusable links are good. no blown fuses anywhere. any clues?? also how do the main fuses come out, couldn't get them to budge. now i know why I bought a GMC.

Update:

the dash gauge lights work, the idiot lights and the gauges

(oil pressure/tach) are not working, the pdf file would be helpful. all the fuses are good under the hood and in the door side of dash.

As for the GMC comments mine has over 225,000 miles and still has balanced compresion of over 110 with only a timing chain and water pump change so i feel it's ok, it's not a 4x4.

Update 2:

the mitsubishi belongs to a good friend who need me to help

No offense but did you ever think that the person who might know the answer to your question will also be the one who might take offense to your comment about buying a POS GMC instead? Lets face it most GMC's wouldn't last as long and go through as much as my Montero has off road. Also it is stupid to try and insult the person who might have the answer don'tcha think?

So, now that I got that off my chest lets take a look at your problem shall we?

You mention the 4x4 gauges are not working properly. Do you mean the 4x4 indicator that lets you know when you're in 4WD? It could simply be a simple burnt out bulb, wiring issue, fuse, or a mechanical problem with the auto locking hubs.

When you turn the key to the ON position (not the START postition) do all your gauge indicator lights turn on? If they don't then you likely have a fuse issue. If they do but the 4x4 indicator in the dash is not lit then you have a simple bulb problem which you can fix by removing gauge cluster to access and R&R bulb.

If you need to check the related wiring let me know and I probably can email you a pdf of that section of the Factory Service Manuals.

Oh and for the record I've probably strapped out more GMC's and Chevy's on the trail than you would ever want to hear about so let's chill on the GMC talk shall we?

    HTH.
