    Signs and symptoms of HEPATITIS 'C'

    Early-stage signs and symptoms

    Commonly, hepatitis C infection produces no signs or symptoms during its earliest stages. When it does, they're generally mild and flu-like and may include:

    * Slight fatigue

    * Nausea or poor appetite

    * Muscle and joint pains

    * Tenderness in the area of your liver

    Later stage signs and symptoms

    Even if you develop chronic hepatitis from the hepatitis C virus, you may have few, if any, symptoms. In many cases, signs and symptoms may not appear for decades. Sometimes, though, you may experience one or more of the following:

    * Fatigue

    * Lack of appetite

    * Nausea and vomiting

    * Persistent or recurring yellowing of your skin and eyes (jaundice)

    * Low-grade fever

    Hepatitis C can cause damage to your liver, even if you don't have symptoms. You're also able to pass the virus to others without having any symptoms yourself. That's why it's important to be tested if you think you've been exposed to hepatitis C or if you engage in behavior that puts you at risk. -

    Get a simple blood test done on your liver enzymes.

    Elevated ALT levels could indicate liver damage.

    Hep A, B & C..damage the liver.

    So does drinking, taking meds, and pretty much everything you do..so you can't necessarily conclude much of anything..

    Check with your Doc. Hep C is a blood pathogen..ie..transmitted through the blood. While unprotected contact will expose you to that and more, you can possibly get it from getting a tattoo..and other "needle activities"

    If you do not know the indicators of early being pregnant, I do not particularly consider you must be having intercourse. However, they're: Increased urge for food Swollen breasts Cramping-implantation cramps Slight interval-recognizing Vomiting-morning health problem AND DEFINITELY A confident scan! I consider you may have till 24 weeks to abort, however how early you'll be able to abort, I'm now not certain.

    To contract Hep C from a tattoo studio would mean that they would've tattooed someone who had it and used the dirty equipment on you. Sore throat isn't a sign of Hep C and it can take years to progress. I'm sure you're fine.

    Super clean has nothing to do with it. If the equipment used isn't sterilized properly (and it's virtually impossible to sterilized a tattoo gun) using an autoclave and the proper technique, then Hepatitis is a possibility. As is any other disease that you can transmit by sharing blood.

    Hepatitis will kill you - the only cure is a liver transplant. Is a tattoo worth it???

    get tested if you're worried!

    you can have hep c and not even know it! my Mom had it (from a blood transfusion during surgery in the 70s) and she NEVER knew until this year when it had caused liver cancer...

    which killed her. :-(

    good luck

    being a HepC Advocate we were just sent a newsletter

    ANYONE THAT HAS A TATTOO SHOULD GET TESTED

    Hep C is blood to blood..here's to hoping the needles and paint were fresh and not previously used.

    Get TESTED!
