How can a BCD counter have karnaugh maps if it doesn't have any inputs?

My assignment says to turn in the Karnaugh maps for a BCD counter, but how can a BCD counter have karnaugh maps if it doesn't have any inputs?

You just count using the clock signal, not using inputs. Help? Thanks

The counter has to have previous inputs for it to have "memory". These are your inputs.
