Have triton shower in en-suite,its connected to a fan.when I turn it on it trips the rcd.Any ideas???
to operate the shower you have to pull the fan cord. When fan is running the shower can then be switched on.On pulling the cord it frequently trips the rcd.Getting worried about the danger.Asked electrician said it was shower.Asked plumber said it was the connection. At a dead end.Any answers will be welcomed.

The shower should be switched on from a double pole 20Amp pull switch, fed by a RCD breaker. The fan can either be switched on from the light circuit of the en-suite, or you can take the feed from one side of the double pole switch of the shower. In reality, the best solution is the lighting circuit of the en-suite.
The reason it is blowing is that there is to much current being pulled if the shower is connected to a low rated RCD or the total consumption is greater than the RCD to handle. It is thinking that there is a direct short and will trip off. RCD's will always trip at the slightest problem, well itcould be your life at risk?
However, this only an assumption based on your description, if I were you I would call in a qualified electrician to check it out.

I would tend to go for the Electricians opinion. Plumbers deal with the water side of things - they dont tend to know an awful lot about electrics as they are 2 different trades. The way to tell is by turning the fan on via the pole switch - if it runs okay and then when you turn the shower on it trips the rcd then that would suggest its definitely a problem with the shower xxx

The fan should be connected to the light switch via a double pole switch,Not to the shower.

If the difficulty replaced into remoted to purely the faucet i might suspect there may well be a filter out show that desires to be wiped sparkling or replaced, yet unsure if that could impact the bathe flow, till possibly some sediment has sponsored up into the bathe line.

our shower is conected to the fans cord but the fan was disconected first ! think you need to get another inderpendant person to look at it :0) but dont use it as thats what the rcd is telling you
