I'm 22 and used to have really really thick hair. It started falling out over the last few months,?

and now its almost down to a third of what it was. Are there any natural vitamins or something I can take for this? Has anyone ever heard of any kind of natural supplement that might help? I might consider rogaine but only as a last resort since I've heard it only works for as long as you use it.

Hi Sharon...So you no longer need the shampoo for thick hair, eh? Rather than worry about how to get your hair thickened up again, I'm more concerned about what happened to cause your wonderful locks to lighten up. Quite often hair loss is an indication of a medical problem or condition. You didn't mention whether or not you have been to a Dr. If not, that should be your next step. Are you or have you been pregnant recently? Have you been told that you have thyroid problems? Are you diabetic? Has your diet altered dramatically? Healthy hair, and healthy skin, and healthy nails are an indication of a body that is well nourished; a life with stress under control. Again, a medical exam and some bloodwork should be the next step. A good multivitamin with minerals is something that should be part of everyone's diet. Until you resolve what is going on with the hair loss, you might want to consult with a stylist on a hairstyle that will be appropriate for thinner hair.

if it used to be to do with straightening or colouring, it could BREAK off, no longer fall out. the hair you'll be able to see is lifeless besides, so it is dependent if you'll be able to see the basis at the hairs popping out. (the basis appears like a bit white bulb close to) if you'll be able to see the basis, it might be on account that of your vitamin or an health problem, or in the event you cant, its from breakage. additionally, hair is going by way of phases, a million) it grows two) it rests three) it falls out ordinarily your whole hair can be at one-of-a-kind phases, however repeatedly you realize a development spirt or lots falling out! so it might simply be this too. i might recommend deep conditioning your hair each time you shampoo, making definite you may have a balanced vitamin, ingesting plenty of water, quit death your hair, quit utilising any heated appliences and opt for a fast average determine up and chat along with your health care provider, simply to rule something out and to be at the trustworthy part

Hi, I too had really thick hair ( My family & friends would give me nicknames because of it) I had an eating disorder which made my hair become really thin. Anyways, try asking the dr. for a hormone pill, because I had to take them for not having a period and..omg! my hair became very thick! but, i also grew a lot of hair on my arms..which I never hardly had noticable hair on them before. So, I hope that helps!

You should have your thyroid checked--thyroid problems can cause hair loss. Also raw milled flaxseed (mix it into yogurt, smoothies and oatmeal after you microwave it) is great for your hair, skin and nails.

I'd be leery of rogaine. I've heard it can have nasty side effects...
