how to prove dealership cheated you?

7 years ago my front end got trashed and the dealership was suppose to replace the hood the battery, airbags, everything.. About a week later my car battery died. they didnt put in a good battery. and we had a fight over that but they replaced it.

Last week some debris came flying towards my car kind of lightly but it still chipped the paint on my hood. and recently my hood wont close.. something about the brush came unlatched? It looks like they gave me an aftermarket hood or something instead of a brand new hood. they took all the insurance money and gave me second rate parts.

How can I prove that they cheated me?

I agree, I think7 years is too late. If you meant 7 weeks by any chance, then you might want to take it to a more reputable repair shop and see if they can provide some sort of tetimonial or something, then contact the insurance Company and let them know they've been jipped for a repair job. Insurance Comapnies don't like being jipped...they might help you get it fioxed properly. (Not if it's been 7 years, though...)

To think you would any recourse after 7 years is ridiculous. First, the aftermarket hood was probably specified by your insurance company, and is noted in the estimate. Second, no paint job is going to come with a lifetime guaranty , especially after a separate ,incident caused damaged unrelated to the original claim. Sounds like you're the type always looking for somebody to blame your problems on. Get a life.

Your insurance company dictates what parts they'll pay for, whether they be used, new, or aftermarket equivalents.

Sounds a little far fetched to be blaming an autobody shop for problems occuring 7 years after the fact.

    Paint chips, lady.

After 7 years, its just one of those things you have to shrug off, and remember to take your business elswhere in the future. Odds are, the guy who actually made the decision has long since left or been fired anyway.

you can't now... if it was 7 years ago that would be very tough to prove..... not really worth the time if you ask me.... wait.... you did!
