I found an interesting story on Kansas Jayhawks. It had to do with the choice of school colors. According to collegefootballhistory.com anyway, Kansas was planning to choose Crimson (Harvard's colors) in honor of John McCook, a Harvard man, for gifts that enabled them to purchase an athletic field. Several faculty members who were Yale grads grumbled and insisted that Yale blue be included, thus the combination of colors.
the most succesful football player from kansas is Gale Sayers.

whoever proves to be the biggest KU fan, you should check back whenever KU's not doing well & see if they're still diehard fans.. my bet is not since pretty much all KU fans are fairweather fans anyway.

uhh... My friends a huge fan but I'm not as big, I like them enough.... His whole room is decorated and stuff.. it is actually infectious that someone could love them so much that it makes me like them a bit too. He once came to school after the UCLA-Kansas game last year still red eyed and it was sad to see him like that so we bought him a Jayhawks hat after school and he was good again. I hope they do good this year for the sake of my friend and I am surprised about their football team and I hope they beat Missouri this Saturday.
