It comes down to wanting to the NFL's desire to market its product. All the NFL is doing is trying to get one of their properties distributed to the maximum number of consumers.

Personally, I think that in the near future, the NFL could decide to pull the Superbowl on to the NFL Channel.

Regarding the notion tht TV should be free -- Yes, over the air TV has always been free. Most of the satellite TV networks have never been free. Cable and Dish providers are just packaging services and passing the costs along. Nobody is holding a gun to anybodys head and forcing them to buy a TV service. Get over it.

I think it sucks because I live in a town where we have 2 cable providers. My Dad has 1 where he gets NFL Network. I live at an apartmeny where they have a different cable provider and only 2 miles from my parents and we don;t get NFL Network!!! I miss my football, even though it is only a game ot 2 a week but still

  • the NFL is asking way too much from the cable providers, .70/veiwer, that ranks up with cnn and the likes, the cable companies know that the only time people will it is during the football season

.....when i had a dish i watched some of the network, it wasnt all that great, and it got worse in the off-season.....

....to me its all greed, trying to make the consumer pay for something they dont want, as much as i hate missing the packers/cowboy game at home, i agree with the cable companies

They are all greedy, money-grubbing jerks.

There is no good guy here. And we the people are paying for the greedy corporations and networks.

TV should be free. That's what commercials are for! What happened to this concept? Cable and dish somehow decided to rip us off and charge outrageous prices because they can get away with it. They don't need to. It doesn't cost that much to give us television. They are greedy jerks. The networks are greedy. There is no good guy.

We the people are paying the price. We are slaves to their whim.

    This is not American.

I see the reason to boycott it all. Make our voice heard. Rebel against the TV machine. Make it free again. This has become just too ridiculous.

    jerry jones is from arkansas.

my take on overpriced tv affiliates trying to black mail the public into buying their lame product is, STICK IT! i cant afford all of these luxuries and dont like being teased and held hostage for the entertainment i have always had for free and enjoy. i'll follow sports on radio and puter and they can shove it!

if that doesnt work, ill read about it in the paper the next frickin day. but i wont pay excessive feas for entertainment. PERIOD!
