Which creature dies? (magic cards rules qn)?
My friend attacked me with a festering goblin (when its put into a graveyard from play, it gives another creature -1/-1).
I have Soulcatchers' Aerie and 2 1/1 birds in play. i have one of the birds block his festering goblin. Do i lose both birds? or does Aerie kick in first?
Soulcatchers' Aerie: Whenever a bird is put into your graveyard from play, put a feather counter on it. All birds get +1/+1 for each feather counter on Soulcatcher's Aerie
And.. does it make a difference who's turn this occurs on?
Hmm.. I thought it was something like that, but the weird thing is, if I put my effects on the stack first, doesn't that mean my opponent's effects resolve first?based on LIFO

Well when combat ends both will hit the graveyard at the same time. therefore the Soulcatcher will see your bird die, and tigger to give all your birds +1 / +1, but at the same time the goblin hits the graveyard giving one bird -1 / -1.
so how it should happen would be if it was on your turn, I think the +1 / +1 counter would hit on all your birds then his -1 /-1 one hit. b/c you would be able to put your tigger on the stack before him. The same goes for him if its his turn he would be able to put the -1 / -1 on, and kill both birds before you could get the feather counters off the stack.
I'm am big on rulings and read them alot, but that means little really I could still be wrong here let me know if someone knows for 100%
