Just curious, how do all of you have presents for your mailman? Do you put them in the mailbox or do you wait outside for them to come and run up to the truck with a gift? Hmm.
Well, my mailman is pretty obnoxious. It was very early on a weekend morning, and there was a package which couldn't fit in the mailbox. Instead of ringing once or twice and leaving the box at the doorstep, he rang it at a rapid speed for over two minutes. It was probably about 3 rings per second, and I am not exaggerating. Since I was home alone, I didn't go to the door anyways, in fear it was some crazy man, so I had to put up with constant ringing for about three minutes.
How unnecessary?
But if I am outside when he comes by, he hands the mail, and I say a nice "Hello. Have a good day."

At my old job the mailman was like my best friend. He would come in during the day just to stop by & chat with me. We'd give each other gifts like we'd known each other for years. Pete is a great greay guy! At my new job I don't see the mailman but the delivery men just can't measure up to Pete, lol.

They don't deliver parcels anymore so it's not often I get to speak with them anymore. In the good old days it was always the same mailman so you could buy him a bottle of vodka for christmas or invite him in for coffee everynowandthen but nowadays there are a whole bunch of different mailmen, it makes things tricky.
Oy, the good old days.

Our mailman is wonderful. I really respect him for doing his job even when it's hot as hell outside or freezing cold and 4 inches of snow.He never complains! I always offer him a coke or a hot cup of cocoa.....and I always give him a small gift every Christmas...he is the greatest!

Every mailman I've had has always been intimidating to me(for some reason); I've actually never spoken to my mailman. You could say I've treated them with a bit of unintentional hostility.

I give my mailman extra special handling. I gave him a Christmas Gift last year. This year, I think I'll gift the UPS man. He's a very good looking man. Visits quite a bit, too.
