Yes, they can press all kinds of charges:
1) Crossing the state line with a minor - felony
2) Satutory rape - felony
3) Sexual assault of a minor - felony
You're in a very tough spot, and though it's unfair, the law is against you. First thing to do is find out for certain if she is pregnant. Get her to pee on one of those sticks. Then you go from there. If she is pregnant, then you will need to seek legal advice. Her parents might be able to put a restraining order on you and take away your child. A good lawyer will be your best friend at this point. If she is not pregnant, then you might need to reevaluate your relationship with this girl. I know you love her and want to marry (I was there once myself; that's why I'm not one of the people here calling you a pedophile). You need to examine this relationship and see what your possibilities are as far as parents are concerned. If they say no, then you gotta back off until she is of age. Look up your state laws to see exactly what they are. In my state (TX), a person cannot marry without parental consent until they are 18, but they can have sex at 17. So if I were you and living in Texas, I would discontinue any possible sign of a physically intimate relationship with this girl until she is 17. Otherwise, there would be a likely charge of sexual assault of a minor.
And I cannot stress enough how much you need to avoid these charges. When you are convicted of a sex crime, you are permanently labeled as a sex offender. When you go to prison, you will be bullied and sodomized repeatedly and painfully. When you are released, you will be blacklisted. You will have trouble finding a job. You will have to register as a sex offender. Your neighbors will know only that you are a sex offender and not just an innocent boyfriend who was screwed over by 1 year technicalities with the law. For all they care you are a rapist and a pedophile who wants to hunt down their children and kidnap them. Stay away from sex charges. That means stay away from this girl until she is 17. It is one of the most unfair and ridiculous things going on in our country as far as unfixed laws go. But regardless, you are affected and could become a victim. So be safe.
And just incase you were wondering how my situation ended up? She was not pregnant, but we stayed together for a while. Our parents eventually cooled off, though it was hell trying to get them there. Then we broke up because we grew apart. So I wasted all that time and energy for nothing. I stressed out and nearly went to jail over a high school romance. If your situation is somehow different and you two are meant to be, then separate until she is 17 and get back together then.

It depends on what state you in because most states have a 4 year leeway, you should have got married in Mexico and then they couldn't have done anything. Jk that would have made matters worst. But if shes pregnant and its not illegal in your state you have every right to fight for custody of your child. If you can get any kind of message to your girl tell her to get emancipated then they have no say. You could also get married with out the parents permission this way.
Also its not wrong to be with someone younger, me and my husband were in the same situation met him when I was 15 and married as soon as I turned 18.except my mom was more understanding they didn't like him to much at first and thought it was just a fling but they love him now. Now I am 22 and he is 26. We have a beautiful son . People shouldn't be so quick to judge

Yes, until she is legal age, her parents call the shots and concerning Statuatory rape, she cannot give permission for you to have sex with her. You also could be called up on kidnapping charges for taking her out of the country. This is very serious and you better try to resolve it with her parents. My 19 year old nephew [Arizona] got 22 years on prison for the same identical thing. Heres the worst part, the parents dropped the charges and the state picked them up. It would help if your girlfriend didnt testify against you but if her parents can prove anything your in deep water. By the way, THEY broke the law by giving you permission to live [and thus sleep ] with their daughter so they better be real careful theirselves and your parents should bring this to their attention. Good luck!

You are nineteen years old and your girl friend is only 16 they allowed her to live with you and now have changed there mind you think that she may be pregnant. they forced her to move back in with them so its there problem not yours. She is still a miner and her parents can press charges against you but you can speak for your self. they wont let you see her again so just stay focus on your self and try not to worry to much.
best of luck

It depend on which state you live in because they each have different laws. Where I live 16 years is old enough to give consent as long as the partner is not 4 years or more older than the minor.

She's under 18...that's statutory rape in the eyes of the law even though she consented. Hopefully for both your sake's, she's not p.g.
That's no way to start a life together, so young.
If you really do love her......work it out!
I was there once...(young love) Best of luck to you BOTH!
Try to calm down the parents or get back to Mexico "pronto".
Good Luck!!! Tom

Yes, her parents can press charges, even if she doesn't want to, because she is still a minor.

If she is under 18, she is still a minor, and her parents can press charges.

Get yourself a good lawyer if they do. You could fight it, since they initially gave their permission.
Since you love her and want to marry her, stay friends, try to smooth things over with her parents, and wait until she is 18. Then you will be able to be together with no worries.
